REFEREE TRAINING SESSIONS

Below are the current referee training sessions we have scheduled. Additional sessions will be added here once scheduled. To be assigned to any of the sessions below, please email NCSRA Administrator Erick Varone at michaelsofficial14@gmail.com. Webinar sessions, in-person/on-field training sessions and continuing education webinars are all included in your registration fee. Each provide the most up to date information to you as an NCSRA referee and are great opportunities to meet fellow referees and local assignors/administrators.

New Referee In-Person On-Field Training Sessions

Once assigned to an on-field training session, a few days prior to the session you will receive a follow up email about the session, including what to bring, what to wear, what to expect, etc. This session will satisfy your step-6 certification requirement.

11am-1pm (Check-in is at 10:45am at the tents between the 2 fields)
On-Field Training Drills and Exercises. Referees will rotate through 5 different training stations, practicing all aspects of refereeing.
1:15pm-4:00pm. Wake FC will be running scrimmage matches during this timeframe. Referees that are available to stay are recommended to do so, getting some live game action in, during a low stress environment with referee mentors on site providing instant feedback

Saturday, January 24th

WRAL Soccer Park. Field 1

(Check-in starts @9:50am ON FIELD 1)

10am-12pm. Referees will rotate through different on field training stations, practicing all aspects of refereeing. Referees will also be able to watch and join in on some live games with mentors/instructors providing instant feedback.

12pm-1pm. Classroom work. Arbiter presentation and questions on arbiter, certification completion, assignments, referee uniforms, etc.

Sunday, February 22nd
